Dungannon (Tyrone) has won first place (Gold) in the LivCom awards backed by the UN, the awards cermony was held in Spain on Monday.The LivCom Awards were launched in 1997 and are endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme. LivCom is the world’s only Awards Competition focussing on Best Practice regarding the management of the local environment. The objective of LivCom is to improve the quality of life of individual citizens through the creation of ‘liveable communities’.
There are no details on the Dungannon win online (that I can find) other than the second place going to a boring town in Sweden called �m�l. Why are the press ignoring this story, this week there have been multiple arrests in Dungannon to do with bank robberies and double murders, these stories find their way to the press without difficulty, the press seem to have difficulty dealing with this GOOD NEWS story.
