it seems myspace has changed its small print after the protestations of protester singer songwriter billy bragg.

my take on it is, it would have been proper and right for myspace to seek to have t+c’s that allow them to place artists music on third party pages where the artist allows this to happen, the correct place for such permissions is the T+C’s, at no stage has it been said that myspace made a compilation CD of the best of ‘myspace’ and screwed artists! surely myspace should be brought to task for allowing content that artists do not want on myspace, and not brought to task over music allowed on myspace by artists nit picking about the T&C’s which were loosely written to cover a range of scenarios, and where no actual abuse was cited.
