Happy Birthday Apple - from Wired Gallery, it all started for me on one of these apples in ‘82 when I joined secondary school. The school had one computer, so nothing much changed, but the IDA got apple in in 1980 when apple was 3. Now at 30 apple employs 1400+ at its plant. I think the Dept. of Edu. did a deal, and the schools got a free computer. Now Tesco have sorted out that little problem for FF/PD Govt. I never owned an apple but I am suffering the halo effect from having an ipod. my next PC will be apple intel one of those nice ones that was released last week! with unix under the hood.
