Provisional statistics indicate that during the seven day period from the 1st January – 7th January 2007 inclusive, a total of three hundred and forty-eight (348) drink driving incidents were recorded, compared to 318 the previous week.
Garda enforcement activities in this area of road safety will continue to be prioritised.
