145,000+ see late late show intruder on youtube

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Over 145,000 people have downloaded the intruder on the late late show video off google-youtube (figures based on 7 versions on 2 networks @ 2am 05/12/06) most watched version is most blogged version (no surprise)

LLS gets 661,000 watching? circa 20% “more” see the intruder on the youtube.
CCTV footage of the car coming in Nutley Lane should get sponsored by Nissan or someone. While that might be illegal RTE have form on this, they took the Vid of the M4 speeders and showed it on the telly, and pissed off the judge. Ok thats Gaybo in road safety and the intruders motive covered, were full circle in a broken revolving door… Oíche maith agus codhladh sámh.

why isn’t aertel page 192 not slotted on page 169; 16:9 anyone? and its free.

beta blogger not better blocker

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

I moved a less used blog from plain old blogger to beta blogger,. Fine, I’ll check out the functions later, in doing so, the blogger account comes in under the wing of a new or existing google account, I choose existing.

then to my surprise i was on some blogger looking blog a few minutes ago and was leaving a comment, and it wanted my google/gmail user:pass… eh oh. NO. I wont give. Now I have to think is this a blogger page or a phishing page for gmail user:pass ?? is my reaction normal? has google stepped on a land mine here?

the local library

Friday, October 13th, 2006

while on an infrequent excursion to pay the kiddies fines on library books and take out more future fines (i mean books) I noticed the small little computer section of books totalling about 50. among them was The Rough Guide To Blogging by Jonathan Yang. its new oct/2006 and I’m the first borrower! my take on the book (after 1 day) while its hard to find many things I didn’t know it firms up a lot of the thoughts I held on blogging and it strikes of reality with regard to the hobby of blogging. It seems to be way up to date in some areas of technology but is not as skewed to WP as the real world is. Buy it or borrow it, for a good flick. Im jumping around the book in non linear fashion (that’s what eleven years browsing does to ya) my crappy rating system says 7/10.

The library is a great institution. Lending borrowing sharing. Books CDs DVDs internet connections, in a world of low fare privatised extravision playstationism etc. the libraries of Ireland are clinging on to a citizen service that is all too easy to forget, with that next book arriving in brown cardboard from amazon.co.uk. I also borrowed a CD called other voices - songs from a room 2. Sounding good, beats limewire any day…. [library baldoyle fingal dublin ireland]

She dreams of 1969

Friday, July 14th, 2006

She dreams of 1969
Before the soldiers came
The life was cheap on bread and wine
And sharing meant no shame
She is awakened by the screams
Of rockets flying from nearby
And scared she clings on to her dreams
To beat the fear that she might die

And who will have won
When the soldiers have gone?
