A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a fire at a recycling plant in Co Longford overnight. The blaze caused thousands of euro worth of damage at Mulleady’s plant near Drumlish. The company is expected to make an announcement this morning about the short term employment of more than 100 staff at the facility. – say rté news.
I was at the plant Nov 2005 and blogged about it here. I hope the jobs are saved, I hope the injured man recovers, I hope there is no connection to the C&D fire which happened 1 year ago to the day.

I’m in the peaceful surroundings of drumshanbo Co. Leitrim, I need Mini Discs from a mini disc shop (specialist like ya know) and they also do TV aerials so I can get all the coax I need that side on the shannon (both sides; for my dxpeditions on shortwave with less QRM than the city) and I play tin whistle but left my C & D at home so I pick up a penny whistle or a D to make sig for new podcast I needed the mini disc blanks for. this was an advert in the window of the local library, Tighe TV is across the road 20 yards away, dead local to the library where broadband can be had (it is rumoured) i love the county leitrim.
